Vintage True-Form Pair of Wooden Shoe Trees – Matching Pair

A wonderfully characterful matching pair of vintage wooden shoe trees by True-Form of Northampton, believed to date from around the 1940s–1950s.

Traditionally used to help shoes retain their shape between wears, each shoe tree features an articulated wooden form, adjustable metal mechanism, black heel section and brass knob. The original gold lettering reads:

The warm, aged wood has developed a beautiful timeworn patina, with marks, scratches and signs of use that add to their authentic vintage character.

Vintage shoe trees can still be found, but a complete matching wooden pair retaining both original branded heel plates and brass fittings is increasingly uncommon. They would make a distinctive decorative addition to a boot room, dressing room, gentleman’s study or country-house-style library, displayed flat on a shelf, console or coffee table.

Measurements: approximately 28 cm long × 8.5 cm wide each
