A charming vintage English jug by Johnson Brothers in the sought-after Devon Sprays pattern.
Decorated in rich cobalt blue with abundant roses and leafy floral sprays against a softly creamy white ground, the jug has an elegant fluted body, shaped pouring lip and graceful curled handle.
The maker’s backstamp identifies the design as a genuine hand engraving, with the decoration applied beneath the glaze for a durable finish. Made in England and dating from approximately the 1960s to early 1970s.
A lovely decorative piece for holding seasonal flowers, displaying on open shelving or adding to a collection of traditional blue-and-white china.
