Dartington Crystal ‘Shuggy Bar’ Ice Bucket by Frank Thrower – Original Italian Guzzini Tongs – 1980s

A striking piece of British design, this Dartington Crystal FT375 ‘Shuggy Bar’ ice bucket was designed by celebrated glass designer Frank Thrower in the 1980s.

Beautifully substantial, the bucket is formed from 24% lead crystal, with a wonderfully simple cylindrical shape, heavy base and distinctive broad, flared rim. It is accompanied by its wonderfully modern clear Italian Guzzini ice tongs, which hook neatly over the edge of the bucket when not in use.

The combination of English crystal and Italian design gives this piece a wonderfully sophisticated feel — perfect for a drinks trolley, home bar or beautifully laid table.

Condition: Exceptional vintage condition. It appears to have had little, if any, use, with no chips or damage noted.
