A New Chapter for Robyn & Wren

Robyn & Wren has always been about more than simply finding beautiful old things.

I have always loved homes that feel as though they have been collected slowly over time — where an old oil painting hangs beside something new, silver frames hold much-loved photographs, books are actually read, and crystal, linen, wood and antique pieces all sit happily together.

The kind of home where nothing looks as though it arrived on the same day.

And that is really the idea behind the next chapter of Robyn & Wren.

An Online Concept Store

I have started describing Robyn & Wren as an online concept store inspired by the collected English country house.

It feels like the perfect description of what I have been trying to create.

Rather than being simply an antiques or vintage shop, Robyn & Wren is about a particular way of putting a home together.

I look for pieces with character: old paintings, silver and crystal, beautiful frames, candlesticks, interesting books and decorative objects. Some are valuable, some are wonderfully ordinary, but each has to earn its place.

I want to find the things that make you stop and look twice.

The Collected Home

The most interesting rooms, to me, aren’t perfect.

They contain things inherited, discovered, brought home from travels, found in an antiques shop or stumbled across somewhere completely unexpected.

There might be an elegant piece of silver sitting beside a slightly battered old book, or an antique painting above a very comfortable modern sofa.

It is the mixture that makes it personal.

And although the English country house is the inspiration, this isn’t about recreating a grand historic interior.

It is about taking that wonderful sense of layers, history, comfort and individuality and bringing it into today’s home.

What Comes Next

Over the coming months I’ll be introducing more carefully chosen pieces to Robyn & Wren, including my new Country House Collection.

You’ll still find the vintage and antique pieces I love, but the concept-store approach also gives me the freedom to introduce something new when I find it — provided it feels completely at home in the Robyn & Wren collection.

I will also use this journal to share some of the stories behind my finds, interiors that inspire me, sourcing trips and ideas for creating a home that feels collected rather than decorated.
